Why do teenagers throw the word "love" around so carelessly?

It's a tv show. Teens watch too much tv, which shows them what love is(love at first sight(infatuation/lust). So, they think thats what love is, having never experienced it. Also, watch the Disney movies, they pretty much show adults have a "teen like" love.
