New Driver - Speeding - What will happen?!?

I recently passed my driving test, literally one week ago,, but today was flashed, and found I was doing 40mph in a 30mph zone. Honestly, don't live in the area so had no idea there was a speed camera, and carelessly assumed it was a 40mph road (it was a main road, but with houses set back) , but was just wondering, is there possibilities that it's an instant driving ban, and so il have to retake theory and practical again? My parents are saying I'm gunna lose my license, but i thought it was 3 points and a fine?! Please help! Put my mind at rest!
